The rain stayed away and in the Italian Grand Prix we saw Monza in all its glory: soft September sunlight and twitchy race cars with tea-tray rear wings lapping at stunning speed on a circuit steeped in history.
And best of all, the place was packed to capacity with some of the most passionate F1 fans you could meet. Here’s 72 photos of F1 at its best and most picturesque.

superb pictures!
i noticed the Basque flag in the crowd (a Denmark flag with green Andrews-cross, well, kinda… :D ), but what is that cannabis like flag?
Ahh yes, the red, white and green jack of the Basque region. I had a look on wikipedia to see if it is the flag of Milan, Monza, or Lombardy, which it isn’t. It’s also not the flag of Sao Paulo city or state. I’d like to know what flag it is though.
It is the Padania Flag, it represents the north of Italy. There is a separatism movement very popular in the north called the “North League” and they clam the north (Padania) should be a separated nation from Italy
No, he isn’t referring to that one. The Padania flag is the green symbol on the white, he referrs to a flag on the right, red with a white cross and a green X.
I think someone pointd it out before that the rbr and str are stunning in the shade and they are absolutely right.
I think I’ve gone mad; I don’t think the Renault is ugly but I do not like the look of the Brawn car :S
