And this week the sponsor on McLaren’s sidepods is… Gulf Air.
Also, Williams are running “Racing” logos. This is probably how Williams will look in F1 2014 due to the banning of alcohol advertising in video games. A quick question though, why are Martini banned from advertising when other alcohol companies are not?

I noticed the normal Jose Cuervo was missing of the Sauber and I couldn’t see the Johnnie Walker logo on the McLaren. I imagine we won’t see any or at least any normal or unaltered alcohol branding on the cars, given it’s Bahrain.

I’m a bit confused by the lack of Martini too- to my knowledge, alcohol advertising isn’t banned in Bahrain (there has been issues over drinking alcohol but it is still legal presently). Perhaps Williams are after a Bahrain deal or there’s something particularly immoral about Martini. It’s a bit odd.

@deej92
Well in the past (or in other series of motorsports) they said “See, we’re advertizing the XY drink, but the XY clothing line”, even if you could only buy a T-Shirt, a cap or a jacket with the XY branding on it.
Don’t know how it is these days, but I heard that argument a lot in the past and e.g. in LeMans

Haha:
Romain Grosjean: The car is slow, but we can achieve the pooodium.
Jenson Button: Cool story bro.
Overhearing this, Jean-Eric Vergne starts laughing very hard, and Jules Bianchi tries to tell him it’s not that funny.
Marcus Ericsson: And you guys call yourself professional?
Meanwhile, Nico Hulkenberg poses for all the photos.

And someone checking some inters. What’s the possibility of rain at this circuit, on any given day? Probably rains something like an hour each year.

Nice artwork on Vettel’s helmet. Really looks like it’s very rusted and the paint is peeling off.

Lotus have a new sidepod sponsorship again too, they went from Genii in Australia, to Proton in Malaysia, and now a large PDVSA logo on the sidepod
