Marko Asmer’s domination of the 2007 British F3 championship continued with his seventh win in 11 races. He beat Raikkonen-Robertson team mates Stephen Jelley and Jonathan Kennard by over eight seconds – last year’s champions still looking for their first win this year. An exciting second F3 race at the French Grand Prix weekend saw a maiden win for Britain’s James Jakes. The second race of the weekend saw all the overtaking and incident that was largely missing from the first one.
Kamui Kobayashi won the first Formula 1 support race at Magny Cours despite aggressive attention from team mate Romain Grosjean. The Venezuelan comfortably took pole from Giorgio Pantano by 0.3s and led the Italian home in the race as well.
